I pray everyone is back into the swing of things for the New Year. Almost all the schools have started. Everyone is back to work, the tennis is coming to a close and Christmas and New Year’s seem like a distant memory.
Often at this time of the year I’m asked what are we going to do in the church this year? It raises the question of what is our mission at Belgrave South for 2015? I’m challenged to think about what are my goals and mission for this year, what is it that God wants me to do for his glory?
On Sunday we are going to look a passage from the Bible that I believe can help set us all up for the year. We are going to look at the story of Jesus healing a paralyzed Man. It is from this incredible event that we can understand how we can be involved in the mission that God has for all of us.
We are going to celebrate communion and dedicate ourselves afresh to God. I’m praying that we will be open to Holy Spirit working in our lives as we open the Bible on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Andrew
PS Don’t forget everyone needs to sign up for a small group this week as we launch our church wide series ‘Let Hope In’ next Sunday.
