It’s tempting to take credit for God’s work in your life, isn’t it? Once Peter had the crowd’s attention, he could have easily basked in glory for the act of healing this man’s body. Instead, he clearly redirected the praise and gave centre stage to Jesus. What a wonderful example for us!
Peter took the opportunity offered by the miracle to address the utterly amazed people, proclaiming to them their own unrighteousness and promising that their sins would be forgiven when they came to Jesus.
I pray we will be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit as we capture a picture of God’s amazing grace for us.
This week we will also hear from Bethany and Jess, after their recent journey to Kenya. We also will be pausing to remember the start of WW1, which started 100 years ago this weekend. Communion will also be celebrated.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
