Dear Church Family,
I want to tell you about a new series that starts in July called “The End”. Let’s face it; at times we all wonder about the end of the world, what’s going to happen? Well, for three weeks we’re going to study what the Bible says about end times.
The first week we’re going to look at the return of Jesus and the rapture, what does the Bible say actually takes place. Week two, we’re going to look at the new Heaven, what takes place in Heaven after the return of Jesus. Week three, we’re going to look at snapshots from the Book of Revelation. I’ll pick some of the most important verses from Revelation and show you what they mean. That starts July 12; it’s called “The End”.
This Sunday with the kids in the service over the school holidays, I thought we could have some fun looking at some of the themes contained in the Lego Movie. I’m going to dive into what God teaches us about these themes, especially the idea that we all are special.
If you have ever read Psalm 139, I love the way it tells us that each of us is wonderfully made. God desires us to see ourselves in this manner and hates it when we don’t. We are doing to look at the story of the calling of David as King of Israel and see that although people thought he was a nobody, God saw that he was someone who could do great things for his glory, because God saw him as special.
I believe that God sees each of us as special and when we can begin to understand how much he loves us, we can begin to be the very people he desires us to be.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
